Ingredients
- For soaking
- Masuri rice- 1 cup
- Chana dal- ¼ cup
- Urad dal- 2 tbsp
- Rentio tuvar dal- ¼ cup
- Moong dal- 2 tbsp
- Methi- ¼ tsp
- Dried Kashmiri red chili- 5
Other ingredients
- Finely chopped onion- 2 tbsp
- Finely chopped Coriander- 2 tbsp
- Roughly chopped leaves- 1 tbsp
- Ginger paste- ½ tsp
- Cumin- 1 tsp
- A pinch asafoetida
- Salt to taste
How to make adai dosa?
- Soak all the ingredients which are listed under the section of soaking at least for 5 hours.
- Once it is soaked, blend it a slightly coarse paste and add the water if required.
- Now transfer the better in a large mixing bowl.
- Add onion, coriander, leaves and ginger paste in the mixture.
- Also add pinch asafoetida, salt and 2 tsp of cumin in it.
- Mix it well and make sure that everything is combined well.
- Adjust the consistency of the better if required by adding water in it.
- Now pour the batter on the tava and spread it gently in a circular motion.
- Pour the oil over the adai and cooked both sides of the adai one by one.
- Fold the adai dosa and serve with green chutney or coconut chutney.
