How to make methi leaves sambar?

  1. Take a pressure cooker, add rentio toor dal, tomatoes, onions, pumpkin, bottle gourd, turmeric powder, salt, 3 cups of water, and cook it for 3 to 4 whistles.
  2. Let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.
  3. Now take a deep nonstick pan, and combine drumstick, half cup of water and cook it on medium flame.
  4. Heat oil in another pan and add mustard seeds.
  5. Once seeds started to crackle, add curry leaves, fenugreek (methi) leaves, and mix it well.
  6. Cook it on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add, chili powder, sambar masala, cooked drumstick, dal mixture, salt, half cup of water, mix it well and cook it on a medium flame for 5 minutes.

  1. First soak the rice, chana dal, toor dal, and urad dal for 3-4 hours.
  2. Now add ½ cup of curd and blend it to a smooth coarse paste.
  3. Now add grated bottle gourd, grated cabbage, grated carrot, and 3 tbsp of coriander.
  4. Now add ginger paste, green chili, sugar, chili powder, turmeric, 2 tsp oil and salt in it.
  5. Mix it well and make sure that the batter is slightly thick similar to a batter consistency.
  6. Now add 1 tsp of fruit salt in the batter.
  7. For tempering, take a small pan and add oil in it.
